Carbon CAP site for Perthshire

{14 February 2011}

Just completed is a new community website for the rural villages of Guildtown, Wolfhill & St Martins just outside Perth.

Supported by the Scottish Government's Climate Change Fund, the communities are actively engaged in reducing their carbon footprint to create a greener environment. We worked closely with their Carbon Community Action Plan group to create a site that would reflect their ambitions and give them a central focal point for area residents.

John Swinney, Minister of Finance & Sustainable Growth, launches the site officially on 18th Feb and we look forward to watching this wonderful rural community blossom in the online world.

BioBest Laboratories

{04 February 2011}

BioBest Laboratories based out at the Edinburgh Technopole recently asked us to update their site and give them a new content management system. Work included creating new CSS templates, migration to a MODx CMs build and a rebuilding their core Access database into a MySQL format with additional fields and functionality.

The site serves a UK-wide community of scientists, vets and farmers involved in promoting animal health whilst continuing research and development into new vaccines for domestic animals.

Data Discoveries done!

{28 October 2010}

Data Discoveries, a consumer data management company located in Leith, commissioned us in September to redesign their site to give them a revitalised aesthetic, new CMS and add CRM integration.

Specialising in creating software that captures customer contact data, checks to see it's correct and updates it over time with new additions, they know a thing or two about the using the web well.

So, looking closely at their information architecture, content and plans for future functionality we decided to build the site in the ExpressionEngine CMS. A fairly new departure for us as old MODx fans, but one which has given scope for all sorts of fun and games (background sighs of delight from Cole; teeth-gnashing from Ian ...)

The site is live now at www.datadiscoveries.com with just a few final elements of new branding for existing products to follow. It's been a fast-paced turnaround and feels time for a autumn break .... the only thing is, you can't leave home without them knowing.
