This week we're keen to hear from freelance web and Adobe suite trainers and developers. We also let you know what we've been up to in the Cisco Networking Academy lab, and give a heads up on February public courses, as well as give you an insight into some of the things we've been learning about ourselves over the past few days.
Web and Adobe CS Trainers
We are currently broadening our sessional trainer database, and are keen to hear from freelance trainers with a background in web design and development. In particular we are looking for the following skillsets;
- Standards compliant XHTML and CSS, MODx and Magento eCommerce software.
- Adobe Certified Experts (ACEs) in Dreamweaver and Flash.
If sounds like you, please forward a copy of your CV and a covering e-mail to us at training@netresources.co.uk.
February Training Courses
We have two public classes in February, both one day courses in Adobe products;
- 13/02/09 Adobe Dreamweaver
- 27/02/09 Adobe Photoshop
Both courses are priced at £279.00 + VAT, and the Dreamweaver course is ILA approved, which means that you could get up to £200 towards your course fees. Find out about using your ILA.
Cisco Networking Academy
It's been a busy week in the lab this week with both CCNA Discovery and CCNA Exploration classes preparing for end of semester exams and external finals.
Monday and Tuesday saw us finishing off basic network troubleshooting labs with Discovery students prior to starting the summative CCNA Discovery 1 Capstone Project, and Wednesday and Thursday Exploration 2 students were heads down with OSPF labs.
Somewhere in beteween we found the time to organise the Cisco rack, and tidy up the cabling. Our thanks to CCNA student Steven Monelly for his help with that.
Over the next week or so we are hoping to confirm dates for a part-time accelerated CCNA course for Edinburgh jobseekers under the Edinburgh Community Technology Academy programme, so watch this space!
Learning Sandbox
Other things we've been experimenting with this week include Dim Dim web conferencing software for e-learning, the outline for an exciting new practical e-commerce course, and CSS sprites!
Check in next week and we'll let you know what we've been learning about then.
