Charity at Christmas
Posted by Sara DoddThe world’s looking bigger and brighter here at Net Resources this Christmas. We have been working hard in the back rooms (like elves, really) to get our newest clients’ sites up and running for the festive season and wrapping contracts up in the front office to plan our activities for 2007. Added to that is our newest creation (still in incubation – it’s not Christmas yet!) of establishing a charitable arm of the company to bring more IT training to the community.
Cisco, in partnership with the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce ,The City of Edinburgh Council, the Capital City Partnership and the Joined up for Jobs Initiative is to establish two new Cisco Local Academies in Edinburgh. Net Resources will be taking the lead in creating one of the Academies and by January we will be recruiting for our new CCNA training – free to eligible unemployed Edinburgh people! Look out for the new website and marketing under the banner Edinburgh Cisco Community Academy at the start of January!
Having had that epiphany, we looked towards the East (well, maybe the West Coast of America again) and found another bright star smiling! So, as part of our plans for 2007 we will also be establishing a Microsoft IT Academy, under our charitable arm, with a full range of MOS and MCDST certified courses open to all!
So here’s to happy days ahead – hope you will be able to join us in them!
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
