Graduate Placement Programme

We have worked with Scottish Enterprise since 1998 to provide the accredited Training for Work programme to unemployed professionals and graduates. Over the last eight years we have successfully trained and placed over 700 trainees into jobs from our Graduate Internet Course.

As a part of our Graduate Internet Course we provide placements to organisations offering a great choice of candidates with professional experience and key up-to-date skills to help strengthen your Internet strategy. Our intensive training and CIW certification programme gives graduates comprehensive web design, development, team and e-business skills, complemented by an in-depth knowledge of the Internet and how it can assist businesses to grow and develop.

Placement vs. Recruitment - How can you benefit?

The programme provides an excellent recruitment tool offering a huge range of benefits. By taking a candidate on “placement” instead of recruiting from the open job market you gain access to:

  • Valuable Skills & Knowledge – Candidates can make a significant addition to an in-house team offering dynamic new skills, experience and professional expertise in a broad spectrum of work activities from hardware and software applications to web design and development, marketing, graphic/print design, copywriting, project management and technical support.
  • Lower Resource Costs – We are not a recruitment company so you pay no agency fees. You also save real time and money on advertising, recruitment and selection and enjoy all the benefits that an agency offers. There is a minimal cost with fees ranging from £125 – £200 per week depending on the nature of each placement.
  • Immediate Availability – We have a pool of candidates available at any time and can provide you with a pensketch list and CVs of those matching your requirements.
  • Assessment Period – A placement gives you the opportunity to assess a candidate’s ability over any period of time from 4 – 10 weeks. We believe that by working with the candidate in your business environment you will have the best opportunity to evaluate their potential for employment.
  • Project Completion – Many companies have used this opportunity as a resource solution enabling them to carry out projects that they otherwise would not have the personnel to address. Projects can be implemented without the need to hire in specialists.
  • Excellent way to employ new staff – We believe that our programme will give you the best chance to recruit exactly the person you are looking for without spending the time and money normally required for advertising and selection.

How does it work?

  • We will work with you to identify your requirements and develop a placement project.
  • We will provide you with a list of all our appropriate candidates and help to select CVs.
  • You choose who you wish to interview.
  • We draw up a contract and the placement can start immediately.
  • Placement fees are billed monthly in arrears and there are no hidden or additional charges.
