Edinburgh's Community IT Academies
Posted by Sara DoddIn tandem with the Microsoft Government Leaders’ Forum taking place today and tomorrow at the Scottish Parliament, we have been actively engaged in building our certified training provision for 2007 to include new courses in Cisco and Microsoft.
We are delighted to be one of the key providers for the new Edinburgh Community Technology Academy (ECTA), which has been formed by the Joined Up for Jobs initiative and partners.
The aim of project is looking to provide free IT and business training to 100 unemployed people this year, giving them the chance to gain new technical skills to meet the demand from Edinburgh’ business community, particulary within Financial Services sector
The initiative is being promoted by Cisco, Learndirect Scotland and Microsoft under the European Alliance on Skills for Employability initiative to enhance the delivery of vocational IT skills training across Scotland.
Over the coming weeks we will be recruiting for our first CCNA course and as summer approaches courses in MOS and MCDST. Watch this space
