Student Placement/Junior Developer, Zero Design, Edinburgh

Zero Design is looking to take someone on initially as a placement with potential to move into employment as a Junior Web Developer

Their main work is in bespoke websites, designed in-house, utilising php and mySQL, plus things like javascript and Ajax. This is not their primary source of income, but is a growing one, so they would like to see if they can introduce a student to our take on “real life”.

The person they are looking for would have to be a team player who wants to fit into a design environment. You must be willing to learn (or already know) programmes like Photoshop, Fireworks and Illustrator, and not just want to be a “code monkey”! Zero want candidates who want to help build websites from the very outset, and want to be actively involved in the design process as well as the programming side.

They have a fun, relaxed approach to work and like to think that their guys enjoy coming to work in the morning. In exchange they expect loyalty, a good, positive approach to their work and especially to problem solving – of which there will alway be quite a lot – and are looking for someone who want to join their family. There are only 6 of them so you will have to want to be part of the team from day one.
