Network Support Engineer, National Museums Scotland
Salary: £19,210 – 23,245 pa (+pension)

This role assists in the development and support of the NMS’s systems, data and voice infrastructure to ensure an appropriate environment for the development and maintenance of business critical ICT systems over all their sites. You must be educated to HNC or HND level (or equivalent) in a computer related discipline or have equivalent work exp. You must have exp of working in an ICT support role in a team environment and of liaising with external contractors and service providers. You will have exp of infrastructure projects, both in terms of operating systems and connectivity. Exp of producing technical documentation, of managing and supporting IP Telephony is essential while exp of CISCO switch configuration is desirable. It would be useful for you to be familiar with a Microsoft Windows Server environment, including migrating to newer versions, and have managed Active Directory policies. You must have some knowledge of firewalls, ISA Server, SQL, antivirus and back up products. You will provide weekend and public holiday on call support on a 1:5 rota basis. Digital Mapping Assistant, National Library of Scotland, Edinburgh

This role assists with the online development of digital mapping applications and related services for the Library’s users. You must possess good communication, problem-solving and organisational skills and be able to demonstrate a commitment to team working. You will be flexible and able to work to deadlines. Exp of working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and/or mage software and working with electronic databases or metadata for information retrieval are essential. Knowledge of Scottish history and geography would be an advantage. Video Editor, HeeHaw, Edinburgh
Salary: £22k
Heehaw requires a full time Video Editor to join a growing team involved in many exciting video production and multimedia projects.
You should be an experienced editor capable of working efficiently and producing work to a high standard of production. The position will require post production, titling, audio sourcing, recording, mixing, and archive management. The role includes managing our AV setup, DVD authoring, subtitling, outputting to other formats and an ability to troubleshoot technical issues. Contract Web Developer

A leading Scottish leisure and recreation organisation is looking to hire a Web Developer for 3 months to take a key role in advaning their use of web technologies. You will be working with their senior developer on two different projects over a 3 month period: firstly to upgrade their corporate website, and secondly; on an online services project . The following skills and experience are required:
- Strong experience of web development in an ASP.Net (VB6) environment
- Similar experience of SQL Server 2005 and T-SQL
- Full project lifecycle experience
- Experience of HTML, XML, Javascript and CSS
Exp of testing and working on e-commerce projects would be beneficial too. You must also have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.
