National Training Awards - The big night
Posted byLast Thursday (2nd of November) saw the Net Resources crew heading west to Glasgow for the National Training Awards ceremony. It has taken until today for me to recover fully – lets just say we had a lot of fun!
All of the crew were there – dressed to impress and looking sharp. The champagne flowed freely calming any last minute nerves and the food and entertainment were superb (as you would expect).
The night was hosted by Lorraine Kelly of GMTV fame, and luckily for our nerves we didn’t have to wait long before we found out our fate. We were the first out of the gate with a highly commended which Pete raced to collect – I think he was keen to meet Ms Kelly… ;)
Although this meant that we didn’t win the big prize it did mean we could relax and enjoy the rest of the night. The award is a recognition of all the hard work we’ve put in to helping so many of the students achieve wonderful results.
To be honest, and speaking for myself, The greatest reward is seeing the students succeed and move on to bigger and better things. So, congratulations to all of you ex-GIC’ers who made this possible. :)
And to prove it, here are the photos!
