The National Museums of Scotland are looking for a Web & Digital Developments Manager to manage a small web team focussed on providing web design and related support to their digital initiatives.

The role will involve working closely with their Marketing team and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure that digital services meet needs of the NMS audiences as well as internal staff. Duties will also involve managing the web server and applications, ensuring developments comply with the relevant internal and external standards and contributing to the annual web development plan. You should be educated to at least degree level in an ICT related subject area, and have exp of developing and supporting websites, with an in-depth knowledge of web-related technologies and cross-platform issues related to these. Practical skills in developing accessible, interactive websites are vital. You should also have a strong customer focus it is just as important that you have proven abilities in managing projects, staff and external suppliers and of working effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.

Games Tester, Rockstar North Ltd

Rockstar North has on their website a job for enthusiastic and passionate game testers to join their QA teams. You will be expected to play through their games looking for problems and accurately reporting errors to ensure game quality before release. The position is a full-time fixed term contract running for eight months. Candidates must be 18 years of age and above and provide two referees. You must have the following: excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must; as is attention to detail and good general computer skills, including word-processing; working with databases and spreadsheets. Desired: Previous industry experience with software QA would be advantageous but not essential.

The Department of Corporate Finance & IT at East Lothian Council is looking for a IT Support Officer for a new post in the Network & Communications team, reporting to the Network & Communications Manager. You will assist the team with the development, support and maintenance of the Council’s voice and data networks. The successful candidate will be customer focused with excellent communication skills and an eye for detail. They must be able to work as part of a team and also have the ability to work on their own initiative, following established procedures and Council policies. Candidates should possess a minimum of 4 standard grades (including Maths and English), and a clean driving licence, have a good knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Software, and knowledge of networking technologies, specifically:
