An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced website designer to join a successful team of programmers and designers. The company is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly literate web designer. The successful individual must be self-motivated and very creative with a natural flair for innovative, modern and traditional design. Essential skills using:

• Adobe Photoshop 7 / CS2
• Adobe Illustrator
• Macromedia Flash
• In-Design

Desirable skills include:

• HTML coding
• CSS
• Basic web layout skills

Graphic/Web Designer, Glasgow
Salary: £18,000 – £25,000

Established web design company constantly requires a good graphic designer first and foremost, with a passion for the web and an eye for detail. What matters is that you can communicate with clients, and put together engaging, eye-catching visuals.
Responsibilities will include:

• Creating original designs and layouts for large e-commerce websites and other web interfaces.
• Communicating with clients.
• Creating corporate identities (logo and brand guidelines).
• Some print work, if and when required.

Essential requirements include strong graphic design skills along with a good working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop. You must be able to demonstrate examples of your work (digital please – ie: links to websites, online porfolio, pdf examples). and have the ability to work to deadlines and use your own initiative.

A knowledge of HTML and CSS, along with experience in designing web interfaces would be advantageous. An advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS, web standards, accessibility and usability, expof print, In-design and Flash (animation and basic actionscript) is not required, but would help.

Who we are not looking for:
Flash designers (our sites are predominantly HTML).
Web developers, with little or no graphic design skills
