Stef's Roundup!
Posted byHere are a few interesting links for you to mull over. They have been building up over the last few days and I thought it was high time I shared them!
First up, how to add a Google map to your site in 30 seconds. Very handy for the less tech literate of us!
Next, a handy little windows program, Clip path. It allows you to copy the absolute file path to any file. Very useful if you want to send a file via Gmail or other web app and have to browse through a Byzantine folder structure to get it…
Another Firefox add-on, this one is of limited usefulness but potentially lots of fun! Shazou lets you see on Google Maps just where a site is hosted. Now you can see the building your lovingly crafted website lives in!
Finally something that has nothing to do with web design at all, but it is still very beautiful and worth a look. James, on of our talented students (and CIW associate) fired this link over to me. Cambridge in Colour has some amazing night photography that I believe uses HDR techniques. Go check them out!
