IT Support Technician, Robertson Technologies, Edinburgh
Salary: £15-17k pro rata
(4 days per week to start, 5 days in 6 mos)
Robertson Technologies is a small IT support company based in Edinburgh. They require a customer focused full-time IT Support Technician to join their team to assist in supporting their growing client base of small/medium sized businesses.
To fit with their team, you will be highly motivated, be an excellent communicator and have good problem solving skills. You should have good knowledge of Windows based computer systems. In addition, you should:
- be passionate about customer support
- enjoy a challenge
- like learning new skills and software
- have your own car
You will start by providing support to Windows XP computers and will then learn to support MS Small Business Server 2003 and MS Exchange 2003. If you already have experience of working with Windows servers, you will have an advantage. If you have knowledge of Apple Mac OS, this will put you ahead of game.
They are a hard working team and you will be given responsibilities from an early stage. The position will be four days per week initially (they are flexible about which days) and should become five days per week within six months.

E-Learning Developer, Napier University, Edinburgh

This post arises as a result of the CeLLS project, a SHEFC-funded project whose aim is to deliver a range of e-learning materials in molecular biosciences. The project is now at an advanced stage of development and is a collaborative one between Napier and Dundee Universities, and a range of Scottish FE colleges. This is an opportunity for individuals with a background in multimedia to develop and construct an innovative range of e-learning materials.
You will be an experienced Developer with the required technical skills necessary to deliver the effective learning objects to tight timescales. With relevant degree or equivalent qualification you will have excellent working knowledge of Macromedia Flash Actionscript 2.0, XML, CSS with xHTML, Illustrator, PhotoShop and FreeHand. You will have good oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal and teamwork skills and an ability to manage your own time and priorities.
