JavaScript and the DOM
JavaScript (also called ECMA Script) is a client side scripting language that allows developers to extend the functionality of their websites. Although JavaScript has been with us since Netscape 2.03 it has matured and now is an integral part of the Web 2.0 wave.
This two day course will cover using Javascript to control the Document Object Model (DOM) and writing Unobtrusive JavaScript (UJS) to make your sites more responsive and interactive, while degrading gracefully for older browsers or disabled JavaScript.
This course is part of our new web developer track aimed at experienced web designers and developers.
