This role is within the Management Information Service team responsible for developing, implementing and supporting the IT systems required to run the University’s business functions. They now need a Customer Service Professional with demonstrable experience in IT service delivery within an eBusiness environment. You should be an excellent communicator at all levels and able to capture complex customer requirements in order to inform portal development strategy. You will work closely with customers and project managers to inform, specify and assure appropriate web application developments. You should have knowledge on a variety of current web development technologies and standards. Practical knowledge of web design, integration and usability would be a distinct advantage. The post would suit an individual with a background in marketing, business analysis or Higher Education. Software Engineer, Advantage Energy Solutions, Edinburgh
Advantage Energy are providers of high quality IT systems and strategic advice to the UK and international power and gas markets. They are advertising two positions on their site for a Software Engineer and a Project Manager.
The Software Engineer will liaise with the client, Lead Designer and Technical Manager to implement solutions and determine any design or change requirements. He/she will produce fully documented object code in line with the detailed functional specifications.
