Planning was crucial as we developed the information architecture, taking into account the three different sets of requirements. Top priority was given to making the site more useable and accessible, rationalizing the hundreds of pages of information, documents, files and publications.

We also added a password protected Secure Area to create a private space for members to share policy documents, project research, references and non-public information.

The site content is now fully searchable giving both public and members access to key data clearly and quickly.

The site was built in the MODx cms and gives all three units the power to control their own content, images, text and data with scalability to add new pages, sections and links as they require.

CCPS, the Voluntary Sector Workforce Unit and the Housing Support Enabling Unit also each have their own events and meetings relevant to their client groups. Dates and information for these are now entered into a centralized calendar, so that the cumulative whole can be searched, yet each unit's web space displays only their relevant dates and events.

The next phase will see the implementation of a microsite for the CCPS annual conference including online registration and payment facilities.
