Compugraphics International Ltd
What we did
Compugraphics International Ltd (or CGI) is one of the leading photomask manufacturing companies in the world.
Operating out of state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Glenrothes, Scotland and supported by facilities in California and Texas, they are the preferred supplier of hundreds of semiconductor, optoelectronics, MEM's companies, universities and R&D institutions around the globe.
CGI has been an industry leader since 1970 and had a developed a strong customer base, but by 2010 were facing increasing competition in attracting new clients.
With their website acting as a key marketing tool, they required a refresh of the look and feel to demonstrate their expertise, approachability and personal service to a new generation of clients.
The CGI team had strong ideas for the visual layout and imagery of the new site. Their original site had been innovative in its day and they were keen to recreate that dynamic.
Photomasks are high-precision plates made out of quartz or soda lime glass with microscopic designs of electronic circuits etched into the chrome face. CGI had recently commissioned new photos of masks, the manufacturing processes, their facilities and people and so we were able to use these to develop a bold site aesthetic.
The site is based within a CMS giving the management team an easy way to keep customers informed on new products and developments within the industry.
The site also contains access to a Customer Portal and to an online Request for Quote application to enhance customer's ordering process.
