Ballintrae
What we did
Ballintrae is an IT infrastructure consultancy specialising in the provision of data centre technology services to enterprise companies. With offices in London and Edinburgh, they work with a wide range of blue-chip companies, major systems houses and leading management consultancies to deliver high-end technical selection, provisioning and operational management.
As part of their business growth, we were asked to create a new site to reflect the expansion of services and expertise, particularly north of the border. Our remit was to design a high impact, elegant site that would back up their existing marketing and sales activities.
The key design concept aims to reflect Ballintrae’s core values of ‘integrity, innovation, independence and focus’. Using the lighthouse as a central icon, the site’s aesthetic and structure use both sea and light as overlapping motifs to convey Ballintrae’s ethos of clear, insightful thinking.

Although commissioned as a flat site, and completed within 5 days, we built the design into the MODx CMS to allow future updates to be made easily by either team. This will allow Ballintrae to grow their online presence in tandem with their business.
