Clinks Website
What we did
Clinks acts as the key national organisation developing partnerships between voluntary and community-based organisations and the Prison and Probation Services in England and Wales. As a membership body they have developed and nutured a diverse network of agencies that contribute to rehabilitating offenders and building safer and inclusive communities.
Clinks' work includes national policy development as well as regional and local partnership work with active engagement at all levels within communities.
Clinks' site is the essential point of communication and source of information on all partners activities and services within this sector.
The original site was primarily text with little or no graphics or visuals. We were asked to develop a new design and re-develop the information architecture to breathe more life into the site and to give clear pathways to information for a number of different user groups.
Basing the site on the MODx CMS, we developed a new hierarchy of information, colour-coded and structured content to point people in the right direction.
Critically Clinks wanted to promote new membership and to highlight their key services, events and newsletters to invigorate communication between members and the public.
In order to streamline soem of Clinks back office administration we worked closely with Collier Pickard to integrate their Maximiser CRM into the site. This has enabled us to provide multiple ways of gathering and categorising information, customer data and contact details that were otherwise not collected.
Finally we applied new images and artwork (Home page photgraph was taken by a prisoner) to the site to give it the sense of identity, vibrancy and resonance that Clinks wished to portray.
