David Purdie
What we did
Professor David Purdie is one of the country’s most renown and celebrated after-dinner speakers, famous for his dry wit, sparkling delivery and in-depth knowledge of all things Robert Burns, Scottish Enlightenment and golf.
Professor Purdie is a featured columnist of Golf International magazine in the US, a speechwriter for many of our Parliamentarians and speech advisor for national champions including Sam Torrance and comedians such as Rory Bremner. His is the mellifluous voice of recent BBC Radio’s science and medical documentaries.
This is his first venture as a web celebrity and our aim was to give him an online space to exhibit just a small taste of his remarkable talents, hopefully to potential clients.
Included in the site are podcast snippets of his documentary work, voiceovers for commercial clients and written extracts from his brilliant column editing the letters of Major RJM Warren-Dawlish.
