Faculty of Advocates
What we did
We have worked Faculty since 2005 when we re-designed and built their site to meet the 600 + members' requirements. The site design was preceded by an extensive consultative and pre-planning phase which engaged a broad spectrum of users to implement the most appropriate solution to their needs.
Part of the original project remit was to deliver a content management system, integrate a full site search mechanism, enable traffic monitoring and provide access to a wide range of information, downloadable documents, application packs, press releases and newsletters. Site build was completed using HTML, CSS and an XML-driven backend transformed via XSLT.
Accessibility was also key priority for the project, and a bespoke website management tool was developed by the Faculty team to ensure it would to meet WAI guidelines at all times.
Further phases over the last few years have allowed us to extend the site’s functionality and improve the interface between the site and existing databases.
We continue to work with the Faculty, acting as their design, development and technical consultants in the ongoing process to update intranet capabilities and improve their integrated systems management.
