The site provides information on what learning is available locally in West Lothian as well as bringing the GOAL classroom online, delivering access to a wide range of interactive courses for everyone from beginners to HND students, 24 hours a day.

The site provides distinct areas for different age groups: young users, 50+ and offline learners. It also has sections for colleges, learning guidance, news, events and with multiple associated links and downloads.

The site actively encourages voluntary organisations and local groups to promote their activities and share resources. It maintains a Community Directory and hosts smaller sites for individual organisations.

Built in the MODx cms, the site has multiple content editors from the GOAL team, all with ability to add/edit/delete content, pages, links, images and documents.

The main site provides a gateway to GOAL's online learning platform, Moodle, which delivers training material and guidance. We designed and integrated an easy online registration process to encourage new users and to capture data for the GOAL adminstration team.
