Guildtown & Wolfhill Community Website

What we did

  • Guildtown, Wolfhill and St Martins are small, rural communities located just outside Perth.

    With aims to create a greener community they received funds from the Scottish Government's Climate Change Fund and invested in solar panels, a ground source heat pump and wind turbine for the community centre. In addition to new recycling and sustainable development projects a new website was commissioned to engage and inform local residents of all activities.

  • We designed and built a new site in the MODx Revolution CMS to give them a platform for all local activities from the recycling programme, to knitting club, school term dates and the Guildtown Bluegrass festival.

    The CMS gives them fully editable modular panels for images and text throughout the site as well as ability to change all background images on each page.

  • The site hosts a shared calendar, news and events listings, access to the Carbon CAP newsletter and integration with their Facebook, Twitter and Flickr pages.

  • The aim is to grow the website and the archives are looking impressive.

    Next on the list will be to add historical and archaeological data to the site to provide a real resource for the local area
