What we did
The Murray Stable is one of the most experienced groups at the Scottish Bar.
Counsel from the Murray Stable offer a wide range of expertise across all areas of civil law, many leading in their respective areas of practice. The Stable is also home to a number of Advocates who are practicing Barristers, so maintain a clientele both north and south of the border.
We first worked with Iain Murray in 2006 to design and develop one of the first stable websites in the Scottish legal system.
We were asked to refresh the design this year and have looked to keep the professional yet approachable feel of the site, whilst providing greater usability for counsel and clients.
We have kept the back-end database that allows users to search and cross reference Advocates, by their areas of practice, experience and articles.
The database backbone of the site was rebuilt to allow the additon of new sections for News & Articles, Events, Cases and downloads.
The new design was also taken into a content management system to allow clerks to update profiles, articles, news, links, events and downloads on a daily basis.
The stable accepts instructions from private clients and legally aided insurance or union backed clients and from professional bodies who have been awarded direct access rights by the Faculty of Advocates.
The new site also hopes to attract more cross-border clients as they continue to grow and develop beyond the Scottish legal system
