What we did
The National Microelectronics Institute (NMI) is the premier trade association focused on the development of the micro/nano electronics industry in the UK and Ireland.
Its membership of over 150 spans the supply chain from early stage SMEs to multi-nationals and includes fabless semiconductor manufacturers, IDMs, foundries, design services, IP providers, business associates, research and academic institutions.
NMI works closely with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), represents members interests to government, policy makers and regulators and works with key regional development agencies to deliver funding and support to its members.
We were asked to develop a new site to reflect the growing network and influence of NMI and its members, working to build the industry, giving a central point of communication to encourage innovation, collaboration and strategic partnerships.
The new site offers industry specific information, news and reports, benchmarking and best practice initiatives, training, events, conferences, funding and brokering services, partnership and project opportunities through both the public and private areas
The site was built in the MODx CMS with bespoke development to enhance the secure Members area and the integration and adaptation of the EventWax OS application to promote and manage the annual NMI conference registration and payment process.
With a team working across the UK, MODx provides the most flexible platform for continual web-based updating and membership and event management.
As the National Microelectronics Institute looks forward to strengthening the innovative thinking, skills and expertise within their industry into new and emerging opportunities, this site will provide an indispensible tool to reach the widest possible audience of members, related industries, government bodies and academic institutions.
