Hugh Dodd
Hugh Dodd is a highly regarded Scottish artist, illustrator, cartoonist and writer. His recent work has focused on the art of golf and in this site was built specifically to show a selection of oils, watercolours and prints of some of Scotland's celebrated courses from St Andrews, Muirfield and Loch Lomond to beloved landmarks such as the Swilken Bridge and Gullane Hill.
As the founding Art Editor for Caledonia magazine from 1999 to 2003 Hugh regularly wrote a column offering his authoritive views on the history of golf, golfing pictures, antiques and artefacts. In special features for Caledonia and Scotland Magazine Hugh followed some of Scotland's finest players across their favourite links and fairways.
We recently re-designed Hugh's site in 2005 to refresh the look and improve the search engine rankings. The coming months will see the addition of a simple e-commerce shopping cart so that his legions of fans throughout the world could buy their favourite views of East Lothian's golf courses in his newest series of golfing prints.
