Ingrams Bed & Breakfast
David & Theresa Ingram run one of Edinburgh’s most delightful and exclusive B&B’s. Situated in the heart of historic Edinburgh, their house is a category A listed Georgian terraced town mansion in the very centre of the town, yet located in a quiet residential street just off Dundas Street, close to all the capital’s major art galleries, restaurants and boutiques. A member of the Wolsey Lodge group and awarded a 4 star rating from the Scottish Tourist Board, it is listed in The Good Hotel Guide this year.
The Ingrams’ website had been originally designed in 1999 and although it was attracting traffic, most visitors were only going as far as the front page. With an increasing number of overseas guests it was the right time to be able to give web users a better introduction to the Ingrams’ B& B and to offer an online booking form.
We started by redesigning the site entirely, giving it a much stronger visual presence using exquisite new photos of the B&B’s interior. A subtle Georgian green was chosen as background colour and a clear, straightforward navigation was designed to give guests as close to real life experience of the house as possible. As a final upgrade, the site has been developed so that the Ingrams can update their content easily, allowing them to add new guest comments, information and special offers as and when they choose.
