Suntrap

The Suntrap Garden & Advice Centre is one of the Lothian's great hidden treasures. Located to the west of Edinburgh, near Ratho, it offers a unique educational resource to budding gardeners, landscape designers and horticultural students. Developed by George Boyd Anderson in 1957 and now run by Oakridge College under the auspices of the National Trust, Suntrap has become a Lifelong Learning Centre attracting a wide range of students and visitors by delivering a regular series of workshops and classes and providing a central meeting point for professional and amateur gardeners.
In order to meet the many and growing requests for up-to-date information on the centre, Suntrap approached Napier University advisor Mike White for ideas. As a supplier to Napier we worked with Mike and Suntrap manager John Smith to create and build a colourful and simple site within a very restricted budget. The new site gives much more information than the existing brochure, offering a list of events, activities, contacts and history with key location and garden layout maps and helpful links to principal partners and associates.
