Sustainable UK
Sustainable UK Limited focuses on providing in-depth information about ways in which we can all reduce, recycle and re-use materials in our lives, both on an individual and organisational basis.
With a wealth of information, links, advice, and documents to offer, the project team came to us to re-design their existing site structure and graphical interface to create a more useful, accessible and user-friendly site.
We started with a thorough analysis of the site structure and assessment of the scale and scope of new site sections and content desired. With the overall site looking to contain hundreds of pages, our aim became to build a big site within a small budget.
As a solution our professional team designed a new site aesthetic and framework and then engaged one of our Graduate Internet Course trainees, James Robertson (GIC 42) to help with the build and creation of new CSS templates. The site owners were then able to populate sections with content, upload documents, insert images and links easily.
The site now meets all accessibility standards to the WAI initiative level I providing a useful resource to their varying client groups, from children to public sector bodies and corporate organisations.
