World Usability Day in Edinburgh
Posted by Roan LaverySet a date in your calendars for November the 14th, as it marks the 2nd annual World Usability Day. There are events all across the world focused on raising awareness and visibility of usability engineering and user centered design, all with the simple message of “Making Life Easy”.
Usability is a hot topic within the web community these days. More and more organisations are realising the benefits of usable sites: chiefly greater visitor retention and conversion. Money spent ensuring your website is easy to use reaps rewards later with increased traffic and sales. It’s a simple formula but one which many websites still fail to live up to.
As part of World Usability Day in Edinburgh, User Vision will be hosting an open house on the afternoon of November 14th. They’ve got lots planned for the day, including:
- A usability obstacle course
- Live usability testing with eye tracking
- Mobile device usability testing
- An interactive dining table (I’m intrigued!)
The User Vision website will have lots more information soon on the event and you can email Ross Philip or call Ross on 0131 225 0853 to confirm your interest.
See you there!
